If you have friends or family not riding who would like to join you at the race they are most welcome! First things first, moral support only while you are racing, no assistance on the course including giving you food or a drink bottle, fixing your bike on – all that sort of thing, you know what we are talking about!
Having said that, please bring your supporters along and we hope they will have a great time! They are welcome to stay with you at the campsites (see accommodation page) and cheer you at the start/finish. There’s plenty for supporters to do while you are out racing each day, and many riders extend their trip for a holiday afterward.
Your supporter might be interested in helping as a “Mini Volunteer”? They assist just during the racing time with marshaling on the course, checking off riders, and ensuring they don’t miss critical course markings at specific junctions. Mini Volunteers earn a $300 voucher either for themselves or you for a future year! More information is on the volunteer officials page.
