Volunteer Officials

A race like this can’t operate without an amazing group of people behind the scenes. In addition to using local clubs and organisations, we are looking for a team of 10-20 event officials. If you’re able to assist for the entire race, we are happy to give you a voucher that will cover your entry in a future year’s event. Learn more about this here.

The event also has a “Mini Volunteer” option, especially for friends or family who are traveling with someone in the race. They help out just during the racing time with marshaling on the course, checking off riders, and ensuring they don’t miss critical course markings at specific junctions. They earn a $300 voucher either for themselves or you for a future year!

Right now we are seeking people to assist in the following areas:

ADMINISTRATION – Registration and HQ tent.

MARSHALS – Race Marshals along the trails to ensure riders stay on track.

START/ FINISH/ TIMING – Assisting scanning riders at the start and finish of stages and managing these areas.

CAMP MANAGERS – Officials to assist manage the daily race Camps, tents, security, and rider support.

DRIVERS – Drivers with experience driving small trucks and buses assisting with logistics.
